How is mobilisation, current state assessment, transition and go-live executed?

Espria delivers onboarding as a coordinated programme, ensuring all stakeholders understand their roles and that services are only taken live once they are fully ready to be supported. Effective onboarding relies on more than technical change. It requires clear mobilisation, structured assessment, controlled execution and governed go-live.

Mobilisation

Mobilisation begins immediately following contract initiation and sets the foundations for a controlled transition.

This stage includes:

  • Confirming stakeholders, decision-makers and escalation contacts
  • Assigning dedicated Espria roles (e.g. Transition Manager, Service Delivery Manager)
  • Establishing governance forums, reporting cadence and communication routes
  • Agreeing initial scope, assumptions and dependencies

Mobilisation ensures accountability and alignment before any technical activity begins.

Current state assessment

The current state assessment provides a factual baseline of your environment and operating model.

Activities typically include:

  • Technical discovery across infrastructure, cloud platforms, devices and security controls
  • Review of documentation, credentials, licences and vendor dependencies
  • Assessment of service maturity, risks and supportability
  • Identification of gaps that could affect SLAs, security or continuity

Outputs are documented and used to inform remediation priorities, sequencing and acceptance criteria.

Transition execution

Transition is executed in a controlled, staged manner, aligned to the agreed plan and milestones.

This includes:

  • Sequencing tasks to avoid disruption to live services
  • Coordinating activities across Espria teams, internal stakeholders and third parties
  • Validating readiness before progressing between phases
  • Maintaining a live risk, issue and dependency view throughout delivery

No service is transitioned until monitoring, escalation and governance are confirmed as operational.

Go-live and service take-on

Go-live marks the formal point at which services enter Espria’s managed IT service framework.

At this stage:

  • Monitoring, alerting and logging are active
  • SLAs, escalation paths and support processes are live
  • Service Desk and engineering teams are fully briefed
  • Reporting and dashboards are enabled

Enhanced oversight is applied during early life support to ensure stability and rapid issue resolution if required.

Stakeholder alignment and governance

Throughout mobilisation, transition and go-live, governance is maintained through:

  • Regular status reporting and checkpoints
  • Clear RACI ownership across Espria, the client and third parties
  • Defined escalation routes for risks, delays or issues
  • Executive visibility where decisions or prioritisation are required

This ensures progress remains transparent and controlled at all times.

Key takeaway

Mobilisation, assessment, transition and go-live are delivered as a single, governed programme — not isolated activities.

By establishing clear ownership, validating readiness at every stage and only taking services live once controls are in place, Espria ensures onboarding is predictable, auditable and safe for your business.
