Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities

 

Purpose

The Client Director is a senior-level hunter role focused on acquiring new business across the Espria managed services portfolio. This individual will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing complex sales opportunities with organisations typically ranging from £10m to £50m turnover, and delivering deals in excess of £1m Total Contract Value (TCV). 

Key Responsibilities 

  1. New Business Acquisition
  • Target and win new logo clients across our core service areas.  
  • Build and execute strategic account plans to penetrate mid-market organisations.  
  • Demonstrate and apply structured sales qualification methodologies (e.g. MEDDIC, BANT).  
  • Deliver compelling proposals and presentations that align with client needs and the capabilities of Espria. 
  1. Complex Sales Development
  • Lead multi-stakeholder engagements and navigate long sales cycles.  
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Pre-Sales, Technical, Service Delivery) to shape bespoke solutions.  
  • Clearly articulate how complex sales are built and developed, from initial qualification through to close.  
  • Ensure transparency around deal sizes, commercial terms, and client objectives. 
  1. Managed Services Expertise
  • Accurately represent our managed services offerings, including service desk, modern workplace, and cloud infrastructure.  
  • Position managed services as a strategic enabler, not a commodity.  
  • Ensure candidates can demonstrate prior success selling managed services into organisations with £10m–£50m turnover and closing deals >£1m TCV. 
  1. Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
  • Build trusted relationships with C-level decision-makers.  
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline forecasting.  
  • Participate in sales reviews and contribute to strategic planning. 

Skills & Experience Required 

  • Proven track record in new business sales within IT services or managed services.  
  • Experience selling into mid-market organisations (£10m–£50m turnover).  
  • Demonstrable success in closing deals >£1m TCV.  
  • Strong understanding of managed service desk, modern workplace, and cloud infrastructure.  
  • Ability to articulate and apply structured sales qualification frameworks.  
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Self-motivated, commercially astute, and results-driven.
