The Role

The ARA will be part of a team that is critical to the timely cash collection of customer dues.  As such this individual will have the following responsibilities for a selection of the overall customer accounts:

  • ensuring that all customer queries are dealt with;
  • maintaining all customer standing data particularly bank details, email addresses and contact details;
  • ensuring that customer invoices are raised for their monthly recurring services as well as non-routine products and services;
  • processing all authorised credits due to customers;
  • despatching statements of accounts to customers on a regular basis;
  • chasing customers for amounts coming due soon as well as for overdue debts;
  • creation of an accurate and complete DD collection file each time and ensuring the file is then processed in the financial ledgers;
  • despatching all remittance advices to customers following receipt of funds;
  • ensuring that the AR ledgers are accurate by ensuring each day’s customer receipts are processed by the end of the day and matched correctly to invoices and credit notes on the system;
  • ensuring that the Accounts Receivable Supervisor (“ARS”) is kept up to speed with any issues regarding customers under their responsibility;
  • assisting the ARS with producing weekly, biweekly and monthly reports;
  • assisting in the year end audit in relation to AR queries; and
  • assisting with other ad hoc exercises requested by the ARS or MA
